Did You Know?

As per family tradition: when it rains, the appropriate thing to do is make cookies. This is what my children learned/taught today.

Cocoa is not the same thing as chocolate

It is, however, fun to blow on when Mommy's back is turned. Unfortunately, if you blow too hard, it gets in your eyes, up your nose, in your mouth. Then you cry until Mom gives you a glass of water to rinse your mouth out, and the tears clear your vision.

Rain is a good excuse to accessorize.

Yes, my heater is set to 62F. This may sound cold, but my heater rarely turns on. The house is actually around 66F. It hasn't turned on for three days despite the rain. Have I mentioned that I love my house? So, don't believe Cambria NEEDS the ear warmers. She just hasn't gotten over them since I dug them out a week ago.

This is what happens when you tell an 11-month old (almost) that she has two weeks before she's weaned, and, therefore, she is NOT getting the afternoon snack that she wants.

Poor thing. But really, I am WAY excited to give myself the gift of detetherment for New Year's!

The cookies? Meh. Too much work for a cookie that wasn't phenomenal. Good? Yes. Worth the extra steps? No. Don't try Hot Cocoa Cookies. Chocolate Crackles are much better for Linkless work.
